BOUTIQUEBoutique work day October 6, 2007 9 AM to 3 PM
Boutique Work Shop
information Boutique ideas from the Happy Scrappers Several boutique items were shown at the August meeting. Linda is requesting that unwanted quilt blocks be grouped and tied together to be sold in the boutique. A pricing party will be held the 2nd Saturday in November at the Boy Scout Center in Beaumont. If you have any strong preferences as to price of items you have donated, please let us know. We are also considering another sew day for Boutique items. Think about your UFO's for our Boutique items -- or some of the items you have seen or purchased in the past. We would like quality items for our Boutique just like the items we received and were proud to sell at our last quilt show. Okay friends, we need to get busy. I can count on two hands the number of items we have gathered for the Boutique for our January show. Remember, we can have an "After Christmas Sale" of items to use for decoration of the Season, too. Keeping all this in mind, we will have w workday after our Summer Party meeting in July. Please bring your machines, or your nimble fingers, and plan to finish at least one item for the Boutique that day. There will be some plans and ideas available at that time. Don't forget, in the meanwhile, aprons are really big with the young set right now, vintage ones that you can bring yourself to part with, and new ones made from some of your best fabrics. Placemat sets would be great, as would be sets of napkins with rolled edges done your your sergers. Now here is today's ideas for a special item:. Needle, Thread and Scissor Keeper Fellow Members we have the terrific opportunity to again use some of our Guild totes to create some winners for our Show in January. We will have another contest for the best decorated bag with a fine prize for the Grand Prize. The totes will be available at the July meeting (and others thereafter) for $2.00, refundable upon turning the decorated bag in for sale in the Boutique! You may love your tote so much you wish to keep one and do another for the Show, just purchase another tote and go to town!
